【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoverschlorinatedpoly(vinylchloride)(CPVC)pipemadeinstandardthermoplasticpipedimensionratiosandpressureratedforwater(seeAppendix).IncludedarecriteriaforclassifyingCPVCplasticpipematerialsandCPVCplasticpipe,andrequirementsandtestmethodsformaterials,workmanship,dimensions,sustainedpressure,burstpressure,flattening,andextrusionquality.Methodsofmarkingarealsogiven.Note1TheCPVCpipecoveredbythisspecificationwascoveredpreviouslyinSpecificationD2241.Note2ThesustainedandburstpressuretestrequirementsandthepressureratingsintheAppendixarecalculatedfromstressvaluesobtainedfromtestsmadeonpipe2in.(50mm)andsmaller.However,testsonlargerpipehaveshownthesestressvaluestobevalid.Theproductscoveredbythisspecificationareintendedforusewiththedistributionofpressurizedliquidsonly,whicharechemicallycompatiblewiththepipingmaterials.Duetoinherenthazardsassociatedwithtestingcomponentsandsystemswithcompressedairorothercompressedgasessomemanufacturersdonotallowpneumatictestingoftheirproducts.Consultwithspecificproduct/componentmanufacturersfortheirspecifictestingprocedurespriortopneumatictesting.Note3Pressurized(compressed)airorothercompressedgasescontainlargeamountsofstoredenergywhichpresentserioussafteyhazardsshouldasystemfailforanyreason.Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotes,footnotes,andappendixeswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthespecification.Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththespecification.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.AspecificprecautionarystatementisgiveninNote0.
