【摘要】:Thenonvolatilecontentofresinsolutionsisusefultocoatingsproducersandusersforthedeterminationofthetotalsolidsavailableforfilmformationandfortheestimationofthevolatileorganiccontent.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationofnonvolatilecontentofsolutionsofresinsinvolatileorganicsolvents.1.2Twotestmethodsareincludedasfollows:1.2.1TestMethodAForsolutionsofnon-heat-reactiveresins.Thesesolutionscontainresinsthatremainstableandreleasethesolventunderconditionsofthetest.Examplesareestergumsandalkyds.1.2.2TestMethodBFortwotypesofsolutions:Solutionsofheat-reactiveresins.Thesesolutionscontainresinsthatundergocondensationorotherreactionsundertheinfluenceofheat.Examplesincludetheformaldehydereactionproductsofurea,melamine,andphenols.Solutionsthatreleasesolventslowly.Examplesincludeepoxyresinsolutions.1.3TestMethodsAandBdifferprimarilyinthedryingtimesandtypesofovenused.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
