【摘要】:ThispartofIEC60793establishesuniformrequirementsforthemechanicalcharacteristic:fibrecurlorlatentcurvature,inuncoatedopticalfibres.Fibrecurlhasbeenidentifiedasanimportantparameterforminimizingthesplicelossofopticalfibreswhenusingpassivealignmentfusionsplicersoractivealignmentmassfusionsplicers.Twomethodsarerecognizedforthemeasurementoffibrecurl,inuncoatedopticalfibres:methodA:sideviewmicroscopy;methodB:laserbeamscattering.Bothmethodsmeasuretheradiusofcurvatureofanuncoatedfibrebydeterminingtheamountofdeflectionthatoccursasanunsupportedfibreendisrotatedaboutthefibre'saxis.MethodAusesvisualordigitalvideomethodstodeterminethedeflectionofthefibrewhilemethodBusesalinesensortomeasurethemaximumdeflectionofonelaserbeamrelativetoareferencelaserbeam.Bymeasuringthedeflectionbehaviourofthefibreasitisrotatedaboutitsaxisandunderstandingthegeometryofthemeasuringdevice,thefibre'sradiusofcurvaturecanbecalculatedfromsimplecircularmodels,thederivationofwhicharegiveninAnnexC.BothmethodsareapplicabletotypesA1,A2,A3andBopticalfibresasdescribedintheIEC60793series.MethodAisthereferencetestmethod,usedtoresolvedisputes.
